Position Summary:

Under the direct supervision of the Director, Nutritional Services and the Clinical Dietitian, the Dietetic Technician Assistant gathers information to plan and provide nutritional care to patients.

What You Will Do:

• Screens medical records for pertinent information as needed per established guidelines under the direction of the clinical dietitian.
• Demonstrates Service Excellence.
• Performs other duties, as assigned.

What You Will Need:

• Current Medical Assistant, LPN, RN, or Bachelor’s Degree in Nutrition or Dietetics and completion of dietetic internship/coordinated program clinical rotation hours.
• No experience necessary.
• Ability to read and write small letters and numbers, and ability to perform basic arithmetic.
• Ability to communicate and understand both written and oral communication.
• Ability to work in a safe and efficient manner and maintain an accident free work place, including ability to demonstrate a working knowledge of emergency codes.
• Ability to comply with OSHA regulations and CDC standard and transmission-based precaution recommendations and to utilize proper personal protective equipment.  Ability to comply with provisions of applicable M.S.D.S. forms.
• Successful completion of a 90-day probationary period.
