About the Role

Montecito Bank & Trust is seeking a full-time Senior Loan Documentation Coordinator to join the team in our Bank Operations. As a Senior Loan Documentation Coordinator, you will deliver a World Class Experience to clients and associates by being responsible for all tasks related to documentation of consumer, small business, and commercial loans. The Senior Loan Documentation Coordinator will be responsible for reviewing documentation requests and preparing loan documentation. They will also provide operational support as required. The Senior Loan Documentation Coordinator corresponds routinely with the Lending Services Manager on needs related to department enhancements, procedural updates, and communication of same to the department. The incumbent must provide a World Class Experience to internal and external customers including lenders, other bank service providers, vendors, and the Bank’s customers. You will be located in Goleta, CA with a fully on-site work schedule.

What We’re Looking For

  • A two-year college degree is preferred.
  • 3-5 years of Loan Documentation experience in a Loan Documentation department or similar required.
  • 3-5 years of previous experience in a Loan Servicing department or similar preferred.
  • Experience with loan documentation software applications, preferably TruStage or similar required.
  • Understanding of key lending terms and common loan structuring required.
  • Experience with the FISERV Premier System or similar Lending “Core” system preferred.
  • Understanding of commercial, consumer, small business and construction loan structures and documentation requirements preferred.
  • Experience with closing and funding loans preferred.
  • Experience with CogniVision or other electronic repository preferred.

Your Responsibilities

The essential functions of this role include, but are not limited to:

  • Prepares Commercial, Consumer, and SBA Loan Documents with simple to highly complex structures and is responsible for assisting the Loan Documentation Coordinator with the loan process.
  • Processes incoming documentation requests; enters into documentation log and updates throughout the day.
  • Performs review of completed loan documents for accuracy and suggests corrections as necessary.
  • Understands the Core system to ensure documentation requests and/or proposed loan structures are properly documented in order to be booked and serviced.
  • Manages priorities and resolves problems with loan documentation and funding including CAD loans with legal counsel.
  • Assists in the set up and testing of Loan Documentation system specifications and configuration for new and revised loan products.
  • Supports funding and closing tasks prior to boarding for all commercial, consumer, and credit products.
  • Assists department with servicing functions such as payment processing, wire processing, and paid-note processing.
  • Responsible for all port maintenance, new and existing.
