Commodity Sourcing Manager na Midmark Corporation

JOB SUMMARY:

Manages and coordinates activities of personnel engaged in sourcing raw materials, managing supplier relationships, and supply chain strategy. Sets strategic direction for all purchasing activities related to direct commodities in alignment with overall Global Sourcing strategy and coaches teammates to execute for all domestic sites. 

ESSENTIAL/PRIMARY DUTIES:

• Responsible for creating, implementing, and maintaining Sourcing Strategies for direct commodities needed to effectively support the overall business strategies. Plans shall incorporate a broad range of objectives including cost reduction, supply chain optimization, market and commodity forecasting and advanced technology awareness
• Provides leadership and direction for the Sourcing Leads within the Global Sourcing team including guidelines, standards, and productivity measurements
• Responsible for making analysis of suppliers' equipment, materials, and services for all direct suppliers to determine suitability for company purchase and use
• Create, maintain and lead adherence to Quality Management System procedures related to supplier evaluation and approval. Act as the Sourcing point of contact for regulatory audits. 
• Effectively lead global multisite cross-functional teams and align internally on best strategies to maximize value to the organization
• Lead team and activities to drive quality improvement roadmaps with suppliers.
• Works closely with the Plant Operation Managers and Supplier Quality to identify, monitor, and prioritize supplier improvement needs.
• Maintain a travel schedule with teammates as required with special emphasis put on key strategic sourcing partners
• Development an organization of people with expanding capabilities. Coach, develop and train direct reports
• Will own the Supplier Selection and Management Process tools and templates; and drive continuous process improvement and refinements across teams and company

 SECONDARY DUTIES:

• Meet company and department goals in continuous improvement of all products, services, and processes. 

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Supply Chain, Engineering or related field required with 5-10 years progressive experience in supplier management, strategic sourcing, contract negotiation, and contract management.

 COMPETENCY/SKILL REQUIREMENTS:

• A high level of business acumen and comfort working in a cross-functional environment
• In-depth knowledge of supply chain, purchasing principles & concepts and manufacturing processes
• Excellent communication (written/verbal), negotiating, relationship building and interpersonal skills with ability to influence
• Strong analytical capability with demonstrated adeptness at problem-solving and ability to not only view details but also understand big picture implications
• Flexible, detail oriented, and able to quickly act under pressure and meet deadlines
• Strong analytical skills, utilizing Excel, databases and BI tools
• Demonstrated leadership skills and the ability to lead global multisite cross-functional teams
• Experience with sourcing and/or supplier managementfor products within an FDA-regulated medical device industry is preferred
• APICS, CSCP, CPIM, ISM, CPSM, or CPSD certification preferred

• Managing direct reports within Commodity Sourcing function
