We’re looking for a detail-driven, enthusiastic Crop Inventory Data Clerk to join our team!
This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, demonstrates exceptional accuracy, and can work independently with minimal supervision. The right candidate will be a self-starter with a strong sense of ownership and a passion for keeping operations running smoothly behind the scenes.
Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 7:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. (Saturday work required for month end and during our peak season).
Summary
The Crop Accounting Data Clerk plays a critical role in supporting Agricultural Procurement, Outside Production, and Outside Quality through accurate data management, reconciliation, and analysis of crop utilization and inventory records.
Duties and Responsibilities
Essential Functions
RMDS – Raw Material Data Sheet
- Review, verify, and enter production data from Inside Production to ensure accurate recording of raw material utilization.
- Input crop usage information into internal programs, capturing product quantities packed, available for relish, and lost to shrinkage.
- Identify trends in yield, shrink, and crop utilization; identify and investigate anomalies, and collaborate with Agricultural Procurement, Production, Quality, and Accounting to resolve variances.
Month-End Reconciliation and Reporting
- Collect and reconcile inventory data for green stock, brine stock, barrel stock, salt, and related materials in preparation for month-end accounting.
- Perform and document month-end crop accounting transactions to ensure accurate cost allocation and financial reporting.
- Support Accounting and Procurement teams through variance analysis, data validation, and audit preparation.
Tank Yard Data Management
- Maintain comprehensive and accurate records in the internal Brinestock Management System, including tank fill dates, fermentation progress, inspection results, and emptying schedules.
- Track the movement, utilization, and status of all brine, barrel, and special-use tanks to ensure full traceability of crop inventory.

Physical Demands
- Stooping: Bending body downward and forward by bending spine at waist. This factor is important if it occurs to a considerate degree and requires full use of the lower extremities and back muscles.

- Lifting: Raising objects from a lower to a higher position or moving objects horizontal from position-to-position. This factor is important if it occurs to a considerable degree and requires the substantial use of the upper extremities and back muscles.
- Talking: Expressing or exchanging ideas by means of the spoken word. Those activities in which they must convey detailed or important spoken instructions to other workers accurately, loudly, or quickly.
- Hearing: Perceiving the nature of sounds at normal speaking levels with or without correction. Ability to receive detailed information through oral communication, and to make fine discriminations in sound.
- Repetitive Motions: Substantial movements (motions) of the wrists, hands and/or fingers.
- Light Work: Exerting up to 15 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 5 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
- The worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform and activity such as: preparing and analyzing data figures: transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading; visual inspection involving small defects, small parts, and/or operation of machines (including inspection); using measurement devices; and/or assembly or fabrication of parts at distances close to the eyes.
Work Environment
Most assignments are in office conditions.
Requirements
Associates degree or equivalent experience required. Ability to speak, read, and write in English required, conversational Spanish skills a plus. Intermediate level computer skills and knowledge of standard business software required. Math requirements include addition, subtraction, multiplication, division and fractions.
