Position Summary
Meridian HealthCare is seeking a dynamic and experienced Director of Information Technology (IT) to lead our organization’s technology strategy, infrastructure, and innovation efforts. This position plays a key role in ensuring that our systems, data, and cybersecurity support Meridian’s mission of providing integrated, high-quality healthcare across multiple service locations.
The Director oversees all aspects of IT operations—including networks, systems, cybersecurity, system integrations, and vendor management—while leading a collaborative, service-oriented team dedicated to supporting staff and enhancing patient care through technology.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement Meridian’s overall IT strategy to align with organizational goals.
- Oversee daily IT operations, including networks, systems, servers, and telecommunications.
- Ensure system uptime, reliability, and disaster recovery readiness across all Meridian locations.
- Maintain cybersecurity protocols and serve as the organization’s Information Security Officer.
- Conduct regular risk assessments, security audits, and cybersecurity training for staff.
- Manage all hardware, software, and equipment procurement and inventory.
- Oversee helpdesk operations and ensure timely, effective technical support.
- Lead integration, maintenance, and optimization of key systems such as NextGen, Waystar, Towers, Power BI, and HR/finance platforms.
- Ensure interoperability and data accuracy across all systems and departments.
- Direct the design, implementation, and maintenance of network and cloud infrastructure.
- Manage data and reporting systems to support compliance, grants, and operational dashboards.
- Collaborate with leadership to identify technology-driven process improvements and cost efficiencies.
- Supervise IT staff—including hiring, training, performance evaluation, and professional development.
- Foster a responsive, service-oriented IT culture.
- Develop and manage IT budgets, capital plans, and vendor contracts.
- Oversee vendors and consultants to ensure quality, timeliness, and cost control.
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA, HRSA, OhioMHAS, and other applicable regulatory requirements.
- Establish and enforce policies related to data security, system use, and access control.
- Coordinate IT components of facility expansions, renovations, and new site development.
- Support executive and program leadership with technology planning and data analytics.
- Stay informed of emerging technologies and recommend improvements to enhance efficiency and service delivery.
- Provide after-hours emergency IT support as needed.
- Follow all agency policies, procedures, and regulations; support Meridian’s mission and values.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Information Systems, Engineering, Business, Data Science, or related field preferred. Five (5) plus years in an IT related field and two (2) plus years in IT Management experience required. Healthcare experience preferred to include Electronic Medical Records Application Software. Experience with Microsoft 365, Fortinet Products, Dell Products, VeloCloud by VMware, Jira Software Management, NextGen Application, or Methasoft Application a plus.
