Who We Want: We want a Processor I that assists with the collection, compilation, identification, and gathering of required loan documentation on mortgage loan files. The Processor I trains and works under the direction of Processor IIs, Processor IIIs, and Processing Leadership. This position develops loan files for the next phases of loan establishment. The Processor I answers phone call inquiries in an appropriate and timely manner and direct/redirect appropriately. The position trains with Processor IIs and IIIs to ensure they thoroughly understand the processes, procedures, and mandatory compliance guidelines and regulations to successfully process loans at Homeowners. The Processor I is expected to meet productivity measures and Service Level Agreements provided by the company.
Essential Duties:
- This is a fully remote position
- Assists Processor IIs and IIIs with loan entry to set up new mortgage loan accounts daily and prepares files to be processed
- Orders, follows up, and obtains all third-party verifications required for loan submission
- Orders FHA case number (if applicable)
- Pulls USPS to verify property address
- Obtains Property Tax Sheet for County Assessor’s office
- Orders appraisal – if indicated
- Requests transcripts 4506T
- Runs file through Data Verify
- Orders escrow, title, CPL, wiring instructions, final title fees
- Orders updated Mortgage rating (if applicable)
- Orders Hazard Insurance
- Orders employment verifications
- Reviews all Federal and State Disclosures
- Completes File Contacts in Encompass
- Completes Homeowners – Setup Checklist
- Uploads all documents above in to the eFolder
- Participates in Homeowners internal meetings and required trainings
- Maintains a professional image and demonstrates an understanding of and follows all Homeowners Policies and Procedures
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret financial data
- Proficient PC skills to include Excel, Word, and Microsoft Outlook
- Knowledge of operating standard office equipment (Knowledge/Skills)
- Experience with Desktop underwriting and Loan Prospector preferred
- Working knowledge of real estate transaction requirements of federal and state agencies
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong customer service skills to internal and external customers
- Ability to develop positive relationships
- Exceptional organization and time management skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Must be able to implement written procedures

Working Conditions:
The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. This job may require handling objects up to 10 pounds frequently and 20 pounds occasionally. While performing the duties described herein, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands and fingers to handle or feel in addition to talking and hearing. The employee is frequently required to stand and walk. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Office environment is normally climate-controlled.
