Job Summary:
A WAF Coordinator will produce and review submitted work authorization forms (WAF) and develops/creates lockout tags for repair activities. Distribute and attach WAF as appropriate. Ensures tagout isolations follow guidelines.
Essential Functions:
- Produce and/or review submitted work authorization forms (WAF), utilizing the Electronic Work Authorization Form System.
- Maintain work authorization control process for all repair activity (RA) performed during contract performance period.
- Distribute and attach WAF as appropriate and/or needed.
- Coordinates all aspects of WAF process with and production department to ensure system tagout is initiated for all repair activities.
- Develop tag outs and monitor work control process.
- Ensure ship tagout isolation system and repair activities are followed per instructions and safety of personnel and equipment are maintained.
- Maintain accurate and timely WAFs, WAF log detailing and work authorization training.
- Provides training on WAF and tagout requirements.
- Initiate WAF revision and tag out revisions as needed or required.
- Ensure compliance with NAVSEA standard item 009-106
- Demonstrates ability to appear for work on time, follow directions from a supervisor, interact well with co-workers, understand and follow work rules and procedures, comply with corporate policies, goals and objectives, accept constructive feedback, establish goals and objectives, and exhibit initiative and commitment.

WAF Coordinator Job Requirements and Qualifications:
Education and Experience:
- High School diploma or GED certificate or equivalent education and experience.
- 1 - 3 years’ experience (military/marine or ship repair industry preferred).
- Knowledge and/or experience of NAVSEA Standard Items preferred.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Ability to work at a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Ability and tolerance to meet due dates and deadlines and/or time constraints.
- Basic computer skills, including word, excel preferred.

This position may require access to U.S. government or military sites.
