We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Management Analyst Senior within the Finance Department to develop and recommend financial policy reviews, support data-driven decision-making, and provide expert guidance on budgeting and accounting.
This role works across departments to resolve fiscal issues, ensure regulatory compliance, and improve financial reporting processes.
NOTE: Position funded until Dec 31, 2026 and continuous funding is under consideration.

What will you do in this position?
- Continuously reviews citywide budget, finance and accounting policies and procedures
- Develop and recommend policy and procedure improvements to management.
- Provide budget and accounting guidance to leadership and department staff; collaborates with leadership and departments to resolve budget, finance and accounting issues.
- Develop and maintain financial reports and dashboards to support data-informed decision making; conduct research and create ad-hoc reports as required.
- Advice and provide recommendations to management on responsible fiscal management and accounting policies and procedures.
- Collaborate with Finance and other departmental staff with the preparation, analysis, review and publication of annual financial reports.
- Research, track, and provide updates on developments in State and Federal regulations and accounting standards; advises on fiscal impacts, develops and recommend operational changes to ensure compliance.
