Shipping Receiving Clerk na Tekni-Plex

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned

• Adheres to all safety rules and procedures and participates in proactive safety programs.
• Schedules all outgoing shipments, including any necessary routing changes, to meet customer requirements in a cost-effective manner.
• Tracks all inbound freight, ensures the receipt amount matches the paperwork and that it is delivered to the appropriate parties.
• Prepares all shipping documentation; including but not limited to bills of lading, packing lists, product certifications and a variety of export documents for international shipments.
• Safely operates forklifts.
• Pulls / prepares orders to ship
• Stretch wraps finished goods
• Utilizes the company ERP system and PC software to develop, maintain and generate effective reporting systems that relate to the job function.
• Conducts weekly inventory of supplies, or delegates to other shipping personnel for all packaging related items.
• Receiving and distributing of supplies.
• Accurately completes all documents as required by ISO, GMP, HACCP.
• Maintains strong channels of communication with customer service, scheduling, quality, production and purchasing, and facilitates any necessary follow-up to achieve customer satisfaction.
• Participates in monthly inventory, which at times, occurs on Saturdays.
• Participates in regular departmental planning meetings to design and maintain department effectiveness.
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

Education and/or Experience

Must be computer literate, with two years of Shipping and Receiving experience. Experience in domestic and international shipping and documentation is required. Forklift experience is required.

High School diploma or equivalent; associates degree preferred.

Language Skills

Fluent in English, both verbal and written. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, work orders, operating instructions and procedure manuals and manufacturing terminology. Ability to print simple sentences and legibly complete reports. Ability to follow and understand verbal instructions. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations, to other employees of the organization and respond to questions.

Mathematics Skills

Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.  Ability to compute rate, ratios, and percentages to practical situations.

REASONING ABILITY:

Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.  Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, and depth perception.
