YOUR ROLE
The Senior Manager, Security Operations is responsible for overseeing the North America (NORTAM) 24/7/365 Security Intelligence Operations Center (SIOC) and managing the Investigations Program. This leadership position ensures the effective operation of the SIOC, the execution of comprehensive security investigations, and the development of strategies to mitigate risks and enhance security measures. The role involves managing diverse teams, collaborating with internal and external stakeholders, and driving process improvements to reduce financial losses, enhance security preparedness, and ensure regulatory compliance.
WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO?
Security Operations Leadership
- Lead, direct, and oversee the 24/7/365 Security Intelligence Operations Center (SIOC) based in Houston, TX.
- Develop, implement, and maintain standardized operating procedures for security operations, incident management, and crisis response.
- Optimize SIOC technology capabilities, including security preparedness, incident reporting, risk monitoring, travel safety, and emergency response.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external customers to ensure security services meet business needs.
- Develop and report on Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to evaluate organizational performance and implement action plans to address lagging metrics.
- Manage the financial aspects of the SIOC, including budget oversight and the development of financial costing models to allocate costs to business units.
- Stay abreast of emerging technologies and trends to enhance security operations.
- Oversee the NORTAM Investigations Program, ensuring thorough and appropriate investigations into thefts, security incidents, information breaches, workplace violence, and other sensitive matters.
- Manage Security Investigators, providing guidance and ensuring adherence to investigative best practices.
- Partner with CEVA stakeholders to address internal and external threats and provide expertise during crisis situations.
- Develop strategies to reduce financial losses and implement procedures to prevent recurring incidents.
- Build relationships with local, state, and federal law enforcement agencies for support in investigations.
- Monitor and report on KPIs related to investigation outcomes and the effectiveness of security measures
Team Management and Leadership
- Build, manage, and mentor diverse teams, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and professional growth.
- Collaborate with Human Resources to maintain a staffing model with clear career progression for entry-level to leadership roles.
- Conduct annual performance reviews and address performance issues promptly and directly in accordance with company policies.
- Provide training and guidance on security operations, investigative techniques, and emerging trends.
Collaboration and Communication
- Partner with cross-functional teams, including internal divisions of security, vendors, and external stakeholders, to align security strategies with business needs.
- Communicate security-related concepts effectively to technical and non-technical audiences.
- Develop and deliver presentations, training, and reports on security policies, procedures, and investigations.
WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
Experience
- 5+ years of experience in a security operations center, emergency service control room, or corporate investigations.
- 3+ years of experience as a people manager, with a proven ability to lead diverse teams.
- Experience managing multiple security-related teams and programs, including open-source intelligence gathering, analysis, and reporting.
Specialist Knowledge & Skills
- Expertise in physical security principles, investigative processes, and security operations.
- Proficiency in security systems, including CCTV, access control, GPS tracking, and intrusion detection.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
- Knowledge of legal and regulatory requirements related to corporate security and investigations.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, escalate significant issues, and propose actionable solutions.
- Familiarity with physical security information management software and investigation management tools.
- Experience developing security policies, procedures, and governance frameworks.
Interpersonal & Communication Skills
- Ability to read, write, and speak English fluently; proficiency in additional languages is a plus.
- Strong interpersonal skills, including diplomacy, patience, and the ability to build productive relationships.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for creating reports, presentations, and business correspondence.
- Ability to collaborate effectively across diverse teams and backgrounds.
Other Requirements
- Flexible scheduling availability, including nights, weekends, and holidays, as operational needs dictate.
- Willingness to travel up to 30% of the time (90% domestic, 10% international).
