Continuous Improvement (CI) Engineer: Drive Operational Excellence!

CJ Logistics is looking for a dynamic Continuous Improvement (CI) Engineer to join our team. You'll be instrumental in implementing the CJ Logistics Operating System, using business intelligence to reduce cost, improve service, and maximize profitability. What You'll Do

• Implement & Sustain: Support the flawless implementation and ongoing execution of the CJL Operating System in both new and existing Logistics Center operations.

• Analyze & Optimize: Engage with customers and internal leadership to solve problems creatively, utilizing a data-driven approach. You'll analyze current performance, identify strategic opportunities, and establish clear action plans.

• Process Design: Lead ongoing reviews of business processes and develop documented design solutions with the goal of reducing complexity and creating universal standards using Lean techniques.

• Data Intelligence: Provide support for CI projects, utilizing data analytics to drive operational excellence. This includes analysis on items, zoning, picklines, and capacity, and maintaining the inventory locator system.

• Drive Change: Lead Continuous Improvement efforts, motivate teams, and secure buy-in from all levels to ensure effective and lasting change.

• Communicate & Coach: Effectively convey insights, project status, risks, and opportunities to cross-functional teams and management. You will also mentor and coach team members.

What You'll Bring

• A Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering is preferred (or 3+ years of experience in Supply Chain, Logistics, Operations, Warehousing, or Transportation).

• 1+ years of industrial engineering experience in a distribution environment is highly valued.

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access).

• Proficiency in SQL, data pulling, and data analytics.

• Proficiency in AutoCAD.

• Experience with Lean and/or Six Sigma is preferred, along with Change Management techniques.

• Hands-on, practical problem-solving skills and excellent interpersonal abilities.

• Experience with Tier 1 WMSs (Blue Yonder, Korber, HighJump) is a plus.

• The ability to work various shifts (days, evenings, nights, weekends) as needed.

• The ability to travel up to 10% to other facilities or client locations.
