Early Years Apprentice.

Location: Gateshead, Tyne & Wear.

Salary:  £15,747 per annum. 

Contract/Hours: Temporary Full Time – 40 hours per week (with the potential of staying once qualified).

A bit about the role   

Spring Leam Lane caters for 76 children per day from babies to four years. We operate from an easily accessible purpose-built centre offering early learning and childcare to all families in Leam Lane (Gateshead) and the surrounding area. We have three spacious playrooms which all have direct access to out outdoor secure area. The learning environments encourage children to be curious, discover and learn through the provision of natural and open-ended resources. The large garden area allows children to benefit from free flow play enabling them to learn from the natural environment and partake in physical exercise daily. We have a dedicated and highly qualified staff team who are passionate about children’s well-being, learning and development and strive to ensure children reach their full potential.

What we are looking for: 

Someone who shares our values and ethos in: 

  • Engaging children following their developmental needs and interests following the EYFS, British values and enhancing cultural capital. 
  • Building partnerships with parents / carers, families and professionals involved with the children to achieve the best possible outcome for each child. 
  • Being a keyperson, supporting children's individual needs, keeping accurate records and regularly communicating with parents / carers. 
  • Supporting with love and nurture, making every single day count for the children, making everlasting memories. 

What we need from you    

In the role of Apprentice, we're ideally looking for someone who has:  

  • A passion to learn and develop whether you have had experience in early years or not. 
  • A good work ethic, being able to use your own initiative to get stuck in. 
  • A positive attitude and a great team player to uphold a high-quality learning environment.
