Electromechanic

Night Shift Position (3:30pm - 12am) 

The Electro Mechanic is responsible for the repair, adjustment, and installation of Cryopak’s special projects equipment. They can be called upon to collaborate on other levels as well, depending on production needs. The Electro Mechanic also ensures that the production machinery and equipment are working well and efficiently.

Primary Responsibilities

1. Ensure that all factory equipment and machinery is functioning well, perform the necessary adjustments to production equipment in accordance with established norms.
2. Operate, test, maintain, or calibrate unmanned, automated, servo-mechanical, or electromechanical equipment.
3. Test performance of electrical, electronic, mechanical, or integrated systems or equipment.
4. Install electrical or electronic parts and hardware in housings or assemblies, using soldering equipment and hand tools.
5. Operate metalworking machines to fabricate housings, jigs, fittings, or fixtures.
6. Fabricate products or components using machine tools.
7. Change the parts, Install equipment, repair equipment in accordance with established norms.
8. Perform preventative maintenance and clean the equipment as specified in the established schedule.
9. Analyze problems with the equipment’s functioning and make recommendations to improve productivity and equipment lifespan.

Qualifications:

• Possess a DEC (technical college diploma) in electro mechanics.
• 2-3 years of experience in a similar position

Required skills:

• Ability to read drawings and specifications.
• Basic computer knowledge to work with our computerized maintenance system.
• Demonstrate a positive attitude to perform tasks safely in a manufacturing environment.
• Comfortable working in a team, resourceful, and autonomous.
• Possess a toolbox.
• Possess a Class C license (truck mechanic) is an asset; otherwise, coaching to obtain it is possible.
• Experience in welding and machining is an asset.
• Possess a Class 4 fixed-machine mechanic license is an asset.
