🎯 What You’ll Do in This Role:

The IT Support Specialist, reporting to the IT Support and Project Manager, is responsible for supporting end-user computing across the enterprise by troubleshooting and resolving hardware, software, and network issues. This role collaborates with third-party Managed Service Providers as needed, while creating, maintaining, documenting, and implementing standards for end-user hardware, software, and operating systems. The IT Support Specialist provides training and assistance to employees and residents, supports day-to-day operations in coordination with technology partners, and images and deploys equipment to ensure users can access all devices with the necessary software installed. This role also involves an after-hours on-call rotation to address urgent technological needs.

Primary Responsibilities:

Help Desk Support and Documentation:

  • Document and resolve technical issues and requests promptly and courteously.
  • Explain technical issues clearly to people with different levels of computer experience.
  • Maintain accurate records of devices, software, and systems.
  • Troubleshoot and repair computers, printers, tablets, smartphones, and other equipment.
  • Set up, upgrade, and configure devices and software as needed.
  • Participate in an on-call rotation for urgent technology support.
  • Provide support for Windows, Microsoft 365, Apple devices, and Active Directory.
  • Train team members on new technology and system updates.

Issue Tracking and Vendor Support:

  • Help troubleshoot network and other technology issues.
  • Work with third-party service providers and vendors as needed.
  • Assist with planning and improving technology services for residents.

Project Support:

  • Assist the IT Manager with IT projects and tasks.
  • Provide updates on project progress to the manager and stakeholders.

Communication and Customer Service:

  • Stay up to date on technological trends and best practices.
  • Collaborate with other IT staff and departments on projects.
  • Communicate clearly with end-users, providing instructions and updates on issues.

 What You’ll Need:

  • Associate degree in Information Technology, or equivalent combination of education and IT work experience.
  • Minimum of 2 years of related IT experience, preferably in a healthcare setting.
  • Experience with Microsoft products, including Windows and Office 365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, SharePoint, OneDrive, OneNote, Teams).
  • Experience with computer hardware, preferably Dell laptops and desktops.
  • Experience with Apple smartphones and tablets.
  • Knowledge of TCP/IP networking.
  • Strong planning and organizational skills, with the ability to build and maintain effective working relationships across all levels of the organization.
