Job Title:  Trailer Technician

Peak Industrial Plains is currently seeking a Trailer Technician that is motivated and experienced.  Experience with basic mechanical repairs, welding and fabrication is a must. Responsibilities:  

• Clean work area upon arrival.
• Inspect and perform service and repair on electrical, air systems, and brake systems.
• Use hand tools, precision instruments and power tools to accomplish tasks.
• Examine and adjust protective guards, loose bolts, and specified safety devices.
• Raise trucks, buses, and heavy parts or equipment using hydraulic jacks or hoists.
• Attach test instruments to equipment, read dials and gauges to diagnose malfunctions.
• Inspect and verify dimensions and clearances of parts to ensure conformance to factory specification.
• Protect company’s value by keeping information confidential.
• Comply with federal, state, and company policies, procedures and regulations

Requirements:

• 2-3 years experience in Welding and Fabrication and basic mechanic skills
• Possess standard mechanic’s tools – as required to perform assigned duties.
• Must be computer proficient.
• Strong organizational ability, focus on the needs of the customer.
• Can-do attitude with ability to demonstrate good judgment and decision-making skills.
• Safety conscious attitude and work practices.
• Desire to learn and continuously improve self and surroundings.
• Clean driving record and ability to maintain clean drug screens.
