Role: |
|
Provide support to branch employees for IRAs, death claims, trusts, forgeries, remote deposit capture, return mail, New Account reviews, and other related items. Work to ensure our members have the best service provided by quick and accurate answers either while working directly with the member or an employee. |
|
Essential Functions & Responsibilities: |
| E | 20% | Processes Remote Deposit Capture items and takes action to improve where needed; including providing assistance and training on Remote Deposit Capture at branch level if needed. |
| E | 20% | Receive and sort mail. Process any check or cash items. Ensure mail is directed to the correct area for resolution. |
| E | 20% | Review all new account documentation to ensure compliance and accuracy. |
| E | 15% | Process Returned Check items and take action to improve where needed. Inform the front line staff of potential losses and provide assistance with training if needed. |
| E | 10% | Process Reg E disputes withing regulatory timeframes. |
| E | 5% | Assist with maintaining IRA and IRA Reporting. Assist with updating of policies and procedures for the IRAs and other back office operational related policies and procedures. |
| E | 5% | Assist with preparation of designated monthly reports as directed by the Operations Support Lead. |
| N | 5% | Performs other job-related duties as assigned. |

Performance Measurements: |
| 1. | To stay current on IRA changes and assist with maintaining IRA, death claims and trust files. |
| 2. | Assist with answering questions from MSOs relating to IRAs, death claims, remote deposit capture, trust accounts and other Operations Support questions. |
| 3. | Process Reg E disputes within regulatory timeframes. |
| 4. | Receive and sort mail. Make sure deposits and payments are processed and mail is received by the correct department for processing. Work the return mail for the Operations Department. |
| 5. | To assist in providing training on IRA, trusts, death claims, remote deposit products and services and cross training staff to meet daily member needs and to better anticipate member’s needs. |
| 6. | Performs quality assurance checks on new accounts to ensure BSA compliance, accuracy, and completeness. |
| 7. | Performs related and unrelated duties as maybe required. May serve in backup capacity for other operations positions. |
| 8. | To stay current and comply with all federal and state regulations including Bank Secrecy Act (BSA), Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) and all credit union policies and procedures. |

Knowledge and Skills: |
|
Experience | One year to three years of similar or related experience. |
|
|
Education | A high school education or GED. |
|
|
Interpersonal Skills | Courtesy, tact, and diplomacy are essential elements of the job. Work involves much personal contact with others inside the organization for purposes of giving or obtaining information, building relationships, or soliciting cooperation. |
|
|
Other Skills | Stong knowledge level and experience with IRAs, Trusts and Death Claims preferred. Experience with check processing as well as PC (technology), compliance, leadership, written and verbal communication skills. |
