Serves the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine under the supervision of the Office of Medical Education (OMED) / Advanced Clinical Education Center (ACEC) staff for Standardized Patient (SP) related activities, courses, assessments, and training. Roles include developing and conducting SP training, development and implementation of teaching and assessment events, and operation of simulation and audiovisual equipment. Other aspects of the position may include providing effective feedback to SPs in training or as part of the quality improvement process, support of the OMED staff during faculty and SP training sessions, maintain quality control of teaching and testing events by observing or validating stations, assisting with case development, and assisting OMED staff in conducting teaching sessions, including set-up, breakdown, and operation of the sessions. As part of the position, the individual may also portray a role in a teaching simulation, such as a standardized patient or standardized staff member. The exact role and responsibilities for persons in this position will be assigned on an individual basis, based on the needs of the SP program at the time of scheduling a specific program.TEST

High School Degree or the equivalent is required, Bachelor’s Degree in Theatre Arts, Psychology, Education, Counselling, Communications or in a health science discipline is preferred.
