About This Opportunity  

The Admissions Officer is based within Future Students and Admissions and has responsibility in assessing medium complex applications from international students across key geographical regions as well as query management. This position reports to the Team Leader for HMBS / Science.  The Team Leader reports to a Manager-Admissions.

Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Triage and respond to queries from students and agents from a particular geographic region with a high level of customer service and ensure accurate information is provided.

  • Process and manage international applications from submission to acceptance that have up to a medium degree of complexity.

  • Apply and ensure compliance with key legislation, and University policies and procedures throughout the admissions process.

  • Proactively support the team to resolve workload issues and contribute to continuous improvement by maintaining a good understanding of systems related to query management and international admissions.

  • Liaise with relevant stakeholders throughout the application process as required and provide a high level of service to these internal stakeholders.

About You

  • A relevant industry and specialist experience in admissions.

  • Strong communication and cross cultural skills to contribute to delivering a high level of customer service to stakeholder.

  • Demonstrated ability to operate with a high level of efficiency in a high volume, high pressure and ever changing environment.

  • Good knowledge of compliance in admissions, policies and procedures, with the ability to contribute to continuous process improvements.

  • Ability to work effectively in a team and contribute to performance targets related to quality and compliance.

  • Ability to adapt to different and new technology to process a wide range of tasks including streamlining queries and application processing.

The successful candidate may be required to complete a number of pre-employment checks, including: right to work in Australia and a criminal check.
