Job Description:

Role Summary

The incumbent will be responsible for driving business development initiatives for the Cleaning and Workspace Safety vertical across India. This role will focus on promoting the 3M Brand Experience concept across key sectors such as Facility Management (FM) companies, building service contractors, quick service restaurants (QSRs), hotels, and commercial properties.
The position requires identifying key stakeholders, understanding customer pain points, developing innovative solutions, expanding customer and channel base, and strengthening key account relationships to drive sustainable business growth.

Key Responsibilities

1. Key Account Management

  • Develop and manage strong, long-term customer relationships by demonstrating a customer-first approach.

  • Understand customer priorities and align 3M solutions to address their business needs.

  • Build multi-level relationships across customer organizations to enhance loyalty and repeat business.

  • Ensure consistent engagement and effective management of existing and new key accounts.

2. Driving Specification & Business Growth

  • Work collaboratively with FM companies, QSRs, and end customers to incorporate 3M specifications in annual tenders and contracts.

  • Map and engage key stakeholders, consultants, and decision-makers across the ecosystem.

  • Track competitor activities, identify market gaps, and propose suitable business strategies.

  • Collaborate with partners and distributors to ensure alignment on quoting, pricing, and margin strategy.

  • Identify and develop new customer segments and product applications to drive market penetration.

3. Pipeline & CRM Management

  • Effectively manage the sales funnel through Salesforce (SFDC) — hands-on experience in account, lead, and opportunity management is essential.

  • Create and maintain accurate revenue schedules, call logs, and sales reports in SFDC.

  • Drive monthly forecast accuracy and maintain visibility of business opportunities.

4. Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner with Marketing and Technical teams to execute campaigns and programs that enhance brand visibility.

  • Convert marketing leads into qualified opportunities and sales.

  • Plan and conduct technical training programs, product demonstrations, and concept-selling workshops to build customer loyalty.

  • Work closely with internal teams to deliver customer-centric solutions and ensure high satisfaction levels.

5. Market Intelligence & Growth Initiatives

  • Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and competitive landscape.

  • Provide strategic insights to leadership on potential business opportunities and growth avenues.

  • Support new product introductions and go-to-market strategies.

Qualifications & Experience

  • MBA (Sales/Marketing) with a proven track record in B2B sales and business development.

  • 5–7 years of experience in core sales, preferably in cleaning, hygiene, or facility management solutions.

  • Strong understanding of institutional/industrial sales processes, including tenders, contracts, and specification selling.

  • Experience in dealer/distributor management will be an added advantage.

  • Proven ability to conduct seminars, product demonstrations, and training sessions for large customer groups.

  • Familiarity with Salesforce (SFDC) or other CRM platforms is mandatory.

  • Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
