What You'll Do... As a Wildlife Technician, you'll help safely remove and prevent wildlife from entering homes and businesses. Your day-to-day work will include inspecting properties, identifying where animals are getting in, and making repairs to seal those entry points. This is a hands-on role that involves working with tools and materials similar to those used in construction. If you're comfortable climbing ladders, using power tools, and solving problems on the spot, this could be a great fit. You'll be making a real impact by protecting people's homes while treating animals humanely and professionally.

Who You Are... What does it take to be a successful Wildlife Technician at Turner Pest Control? For starters, you'll be enthusiastic and dedicated with a keen eye for detail and love of customer service. You'll also have...

  • The ability to safely move about customer locations, ascend/descend stairs and ladders to service out of the way areas, and position yourself to conduct service under/around furniture, equipment, and tight spaces
  • The ability to abide by Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services & O.S.H.A guidelines
  • The ability to read and understand blueprints in order to properly trap wildlife
  • The ability to safely move items and equipment weighing up to 50 pounds
  • The ability to work outdoors in all regular seasonal weather conditions
  • The flexibility to assist in various service departments within the branch as needed
  • Basic math skills to measure and mix product applications accurately
  • The ability to operate a variety of hand tools and equipment safely
  • The ability to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) which includes an OSHA compliant respirator in some cases
  • Technical proficiency with computers, smart phones, etc.
  • Held a valid driver's license for at least 3 years with an acceptable driving record
  • The ability to read, write, speak, and comprehend English
  • Good oral and written communication
  • Legal eligibility to work in the U.S.
  • Availability to work a flexible schedule (between the hours of 7:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m.)
  • Availability to work some weekends
  • High school degree or equivalent
