What will you do? 

The primary role of the Purchasing Clerk is to provide support for all logistical operational functions at the Distribution Center. This involves carrying out daily activities in accordance with the facility's established procedures and safety standards.
 

In addition to these responsibilities, the Clerk is also tasked with:

• handling wave cleanup and addressing trouble functions.
• Specifically, by resolving trouble cartons.
• Activities related to controlling, scheduling, and managing the flow of production from acquisition of raw materials to distribution of finished product; areas include purchasing of materials, distribution.
• Inventory management, warehousing, and transportation.

What do you need to succeed? 

The foundation skills you will need in this position are: 

• Experience with office computer software, such as Microsoft Office Suite. Specifically: Outlook, Word, and Excel.   

• Ability to learn PKMS.  

• Must be able to read, write and comprehend instructions, e-mails, and other correspondence in the English language.  

• Communicate effectively with other departments, Supervisor(s) and Manager(s).    

• Ability to be detail oriented.  

• Ability to operate a variety of standard business machines such as: computer, keyboard, calculator, fax, and photocopier.  

 There are also a few skills that are not required but preferred. 

• Experience with PKMS
