AV Technicians, We Want You!
The Northrop Grumman Classified Solutions team is seeking an experienced AV Technician to join its dynamic team of technical professionals. The qualified applicant will become part of Northrop Grumman’s Aeronautics Systems support team in Palmdale, CA.
Note: Due to the classified nature of the work being performed, this position does not offer any virtual or telecommute working options. Applicants are encouraged to apply, only if they are willing to work on-site.
Responsibilities will include but not be limited to the following:
Install and troubleshoot A/V equipment, digital signage and VTC equipment within closed/Secure areas.
Perform ongoing maintenance tasks to ensure the smooth continued operation of A/V equipment.
Develop and document technical processes and procedures as needed.
Troubleshoot issues with end users, instructing them in the proper operation of equipment as needed.
Adhere to strict Information Systems Security guidelines in all cases.
Report project status as required for all recurring and non-recurring efforts.
Ability to work under minimal direction and independently determines and develops approach to solutions.
Provide prompt and polite customer service, with ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the organization, with internal or external customers, in written and oral format.
Lift up to 50 lbs.
Work evenings and/or weekends as needed
Basic Qualifications:
High School diploma and 4 years of relevant experience; OR an Associates degree and 2 years of relevant experience; OR a Bachelor’s degree and 0 years of relevant experience is required
Candidates must have a current DOD Secret level security clearance (at a minimum) in order to be considered
Candidates must have the ability to obtain, and maintain, access to Special Programs as a condition of continued employment
Experience with the installation and troubleshooting of IT, electronic, or audio-visual equipment
Preferred Qualifications:
Associate’s degree
Active DOD Top Secret, TS/SCI, or SAP/SAR access is preferred
3 years of experience in audio-visual related position
A/V systems technical certifications (i.e., Crestron)
Advance knowledge, and familiarity, of VTC cameras, lighting, speakers, computer systems, rack systems, power supplies, VTC systems highly desirable
Advance computer word processing skills helpful
