Frontier School of Excellence is looking for an ELA Interventionist for the 2025-2026 school year. Starting salary is $58,750; commensurate with experience and education.

Description: The ELA Interventionist is responsible for providing high-level literacy learning experiences to struggling readers and writers. Prescribes, teaches, and assesses the course of study that provides tiered levels of support
QUALIFICATION:
- Possess a bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
- Possess a valid Missouri teacher certificate in English/Language Arts
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provides individual and group instruction designed to meet individual needs and motivate students.
- Evaluates the academic growth of students and maintain appropriate records.
- Identifies student needs and cooperates with other professional staff members in assessing and helping students solve learning problems.
- Communicates and interacts with students, parents, staff, and the community.
- Plan a program of study that meets the individual needs, interests, and abilities of the students.
- Create a classroom environment that is conducive to learning and appropriate to the maturity and interests of the students.
- Prepare for classes assigned and show written evidence of preparation upon request of immediate supervisor.
- Utilize various instructional techniques and instructional media consistent with the physical limitations of the location provided and the needs and capabilities of the individuals or student groups involved.
- Assess the students' progress regularly and provide progress reports as required.
- Take necessary and reasonable precautions to protect the students, equipment, materials, and facilities.
- Maintain accurate and complete records as required by law, district policy, and administrative regulations.
- Comply with all district policies, rules, and regulations.
- Develop classroom rules and maintain order in a fair and just manner.
- Be available to the students and parents for education-related purposes.
- Plan and supervise purposeful assignments for teacher aide(s) and volunteer(s) and cooperatively with department heads.
- Participate in district and campus staff development.
- Attend staff meetings and serve on staff committees.
- Maintain a professional relationship with colleagues.
- Prepare and submit lesson plans in a timely manner on the platform the school utilizes.
- Maintain a minimum number of grades in the grade book promptly.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- Ability to communicate effectively in both written and oral forms.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.
- Ability to organize special programs for assigned campus.
- Ability to use computer including software, database used by the district, spreadsheet and word
processing software, calculator, copy machine and telephone. - Ability to analyze data.
- Ability to use effective public speaking skills and problem-solving skills
WORK ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: - Light Work: may require occasional light lifting.
- Nights and weekend activities may be required.
- Position is in classroom setting and requires intermittent speaking, standing, walking and writing.
- Moderate travel is required.
