Manager Film Production Security na Sphere Entertainment Group, LLC

Who are we hiring?

This person will oversee Sphere Studios Production Security; provide operational support to the Production Security teams for other Sphere Studios Production Business Units; maintain relationships with the U.S. Department of State and federal law enforcement agencies. In conjunction with Sphere Threat Management and Sphere Studios, this role will be responsible for creating and enforcing security protocols, monitoring the set environment, preparing and conducting Country safety briefings and responding promptly to security incidents. This individual must maintain a strong, discreet presence while fostering a secure environment that enables creative work without interruption. This position will also support Threat Management at Sphere Studios. This position will report to the Director, Security Operations.

What will you do?

• Develop and maintain best practices to safely secure production assets and personnel globally. Track and monitor productions globally to ensure communication procedures are in place to pass emergency information to production management and Sphere leadership as needed.
• Assist with the collection of threat and location specific intelligence information affecting Sphere Studios productions and events and present to Sphere Studios executive and production management.
• Work closely with Sphere Studios production teams, conducting pre-production location risk assessments, identifying potential security and safety threats or concerns. Help balance risks and opportunities in dynamic environments in order to keep productions safe and on schedule.
• Assist production management as needed with the development of their Emergency Action Plans.
• Build and advance relationships with contacts at the U.S. Department of State, other U.S. Federal law enforcement agencies, and other country’s foreign police or security services.
• Remain vigilant and proactive, responding immediately to any security breaches or emergencies, including medical incidents, property damage, or public disturbances.
• Complete incident reports, documenting any breaches or potential threats in detail for record-keeping and post-event reviews.
• Assist in all information gathering procedures to collect, analyze, and prepare information that may pose a threat to Sphere Entertainment interests globally.
• Assist with maintaining security services and emergency response in Sphere Studios Burbank.
• Keep abreast of current developments and standard processes in emergency management, business continuity planning, and GSOC operations for the development or revision of policies.
• Determine and submit Capital security improvement projects as needed.
• Be prepared for frequent travel and extended hours, as filming schedules may involve night shifts, weekends, and holidays.

• Supervisors, Specialists, Coordinators, & Entry Level team members

What do you need to succeed?

• Experience: Minimum of 5-8 years of security experience, with a background in film, television, event security, or law enforcement preferred. Supervisory experience required.
• Training: Knowledge of emergency response procedures, CPR/First Aid certified preferred.
• Communication: Excellent interpersonal skills, able to maintain a calm and authoritative demeanor.
• Flexibility: Willingness to adapt to different filming environments and work unpredictable hours.
• Physical Readiness: Able to perform essential physical tasks (e.g., standing for long periods, responding quickly to emergencies).
• Discretion & Confidentiality: Must be respectful of the sensitive nature of Sphere Studios’ projects, talent, and crew.
• Problem Solving: Ability to make quick, effective decisions during incidents or unexpected challenges.
• Professionalism: Maintain a high standard of conduct and respect for everyone on set, ensuring a positive and secure environment.

Special Requirements

• Travel will be required up to 75% of the time. Short notice travel may be required.
• Must be willing to travel to locations as needed by Sphere Threat Management and Sphere Studios.
• Must be flexible and adaptive to meet company needs.
• May be required to work evenings/weekends/holidays as appropriate.
