Velocity-X is seeking a highly motivated and self-directed professional to fill the role of Financial Controller to support our team in Northern Virginia.
Required Skills:
- Strong Microsoft Office Suite skills with advanced level of Excel knowledge
- Incurred Cost Submission
- Payroll, Billing, and Budgeting experience
- ADP Payroll experience
- JAMIS experience
- Government Contracting experience
Responsibilities:
- General ledger
- Bank reconciliation
- Accounts Payable (AP)
- Accounts Receivable (AR)
- Time & Expense
- Payroll Submission and reconciliation
- Month-end/Year-end close processing
- Balance Sheet reconciliations
- Monthly accruals
- Monthly financial statement reporting and analysis
- FP&A forecasting and budgeting
- Quarterly and year-end financial audit activities and annual corporate financial controls audit
- Assess current practices and procedures and make recommendations for improvements
- Work with external auditors to ensure correct and timely closing and reporting at year-end.
