JOB SUMMARY

• Plans, organizes and directs Radiology Services activities. Manages and Coaches staff.  Develops policies and procedures for department operation.  Coordinates with other departments to provide quality service.  Fosters the development and maintenance of an environment where exceptional quality and service are achieved, recognized and continuously improved upon.

MINIMUM EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND LICENSE/CERTIFICATION REQUIRED:

• Registration as a Radiographer by the American Registry of Radio logic Technologists.  Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of five years of experience in Radiological Sciences, including at least two years in management, or an equivalent combination of education and experience; MS preferred.  Demonstrated excellent verbal and written communication, interpersonal and supervisory skills.
• The employee in this position must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care based on the age of the patients served.  He/she must demonstrate knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life span and possess the ability to assess data reflective of the patient’s status, to interpret the appropriate information needed to identify each patient’s requirements relative to his/her age-specific needs, and to provide the necessary care as described in the department’s policies and procedures
