Landis+Gyr is seeking a Hardware Quality Assurance Test Co-op starting in January 2026 through the beginning of May 2026 working fulltime hours on-site Monday through Friday at our Alpharetta, GA office. This is a paid position but we don't offer a housing stipend or relocation assistance so local candidates are preferred. Applicants should be undergraduate level students who will have enough time before graduating to work 3 rotating semesters alternating with school semesters - this is a 3-semester Co-op position, not a one-semester internship. Senior level students, Masters level students and new graduates will not be considered.
Project Overview
Responsibilities:
• Support technician work request
• Support HQA engineer in test/validation system development
• Support testing, data collection, and data processing
Learning opportunities:
• Hands-on experience with test equipment: power supply, multimeter, o’scope, etc.
• Hands-on laboratory benchwork skills: soldering skill and testing skills
• Practical documentation skills: e.g. data presentation and lab report
How student will present the project:
• Project/task name, goals and objectives, action plan, execution, result, conclusion
Student Objectives/Responsibilities:
• Learn electronic technician skills and support technician work request
• Support HQA engineer in test/validation system development
• Support testing, data collection, and data processing
Qualifications Sought:
• Interest in hands-on technical skills and problem-solving
• Good interpersonal and communication skills
• Interest in transforming innovative ideas into practical solutions, especially in testing and automation
• Genuine interest in quality assurance, reliability, and validation testing
Education/Experience:
A student working towards their Bachelors degree in Computer, Electrical or Industrial Engineering with an expected graduation date of August 2027 or later who can work fulltime hours on-site at our Alpharetta, GA location Monday through Friday.
