SUMMARY
Reporting to the Order Management Supervisor, the Order Management Specialist assists the Sales team by actively managing order processing functions. Works directly with the customer base to provide feedback on necessary changes on Purchase orders and coordinating changes between customer portals and internal systems. In conjunction with the other members of the Order Management Team, cover order processing functions across the National Accounts, Internet, & Coop/Hardware Channels. Cross train to cover as backup when other team members are out of office.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Process customer purchase orders received via email, EDI, and customer portals; mix of manual entry and integration.
- Create Containerization requests and submit to purchasing; follow up with purchasing on any outstanding requests.
- Review Containerizations created by other team members and give necessary feedback before sending to operations.
- Confirm inventory availability based on on-hands and forecasts.
- Communicate necessary PO updates including ship window changes, quantity updates, and out-of-stock details directly to the customers while keeping the sales team informed; make updates to sales orders in NetSuite once changes are approved and in retailer portals where applicable.
- Complete PO Acknowledgements as needed.
- Update inventory feeds for dropship customers daily and monitor dropship portals for cancellations.
- Monitor open order report and communicate with Distribution Team on priorities and past due orders.
- Participate in daily team status calls and weekly status calls with operations to ensure outstanding order management issues are getting resolved.
- Build a strong relationship with the Distribution Team – communicate order changes as they arise.

· Comfortable working in web-based platforms.
· Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications; advanced Excel skills required.
· Excellent verbal and written English language skills required. Read, interpret and analyze correspondence, memos, reports and tables.
· Communicate with co-workers, customers and various business contacts in a courteous and professional manner.
· Discretion in handling sensitive and confidential documents and situations.
· Self-motivated, proactive, and resourceful, with a positive, professional attitude.

· Practice safety and adhere to all company safety policies.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
· Associates degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school.
· Two years of related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
· CPG industry experience required.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
· Remote work environment with occasional travel to offices in Chamblee, GA and Phenix City, AL.
