Purpose: Performs various accounting duties relating to Accounts Receivable.

Responsibilities:

• Maintain customer records, ensuring accurate and up-to-date contact information
• Be the main point of contact for customer inquiries and requests for invoices or other documentation
• Collect and post payments from customers accurately into Business system
• Resolve billing disputes
• Process monthly AR Cycle and Generate Customer Statements
• Update Farm Plan records/purged accounts
• Monitor aged receivables and provide insight to management on potential bad debts
  • Send out monthly AR Aging report to stores
• Work with collection agencies to turn over bad debts
• Prepare reports relating to accounts receivable for management review
• Research and allocate unapplied credits
• Work with John Deere Financial and management on repossessions
• Post John Deere Subscription Billings
• Update and maintain customer tax settings and valid tax exemption forms on file
• Assist with store admins with their daily till reconciliation
• Provide coverage for daily Farm Plan settlements
• Provide coverage for CC processing and reconciliation at the store level
• Other duties as assigned

Experience, Education, Skills, Knowledge:

• 3+ years in an Accounts Receivable or accounting position
• Knowledge of accounting systems
• High level of attention to detail and accuracy
• Professional communication skills, both written and verbal for communicating with customers and internal team members
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
• John Deere or Agriculture Dealership experience preferred
• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience required
• Associates Degree in Accounting/Finance discipline preferred
