Nelsen Corporation is seeking an outgoing, self-motivated team member who is driven to succeed as our next Regional Sales Manager! The Regional Sales Manager creates sustainable inflows of sales opportunities within the specified multi-state territory, while also supporting the local Madison, WI team, providing technical expertise and industry knowledge and identifying opportunities for growing the business. Our Regional Sales team have come from all types of industries and career backgrounds; we have one of the best training programs in the industry!

Work Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00AM - 5:00PM; open to an onsite, hybrid, or remote work arrangement.
Pay: Base salary commensurate with experience and skills. Commissioned pay plan, and mileage reimbursement.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Sales Strategy and Systems
- Continuously analyze sales results to identify trends and opportunities.
- Work with the Regional Sales Managers to develop effective sales strategies for their territories.
- Assist Regional Sales and Strategic Accounts Managers with researching and identifying potential new customers/markets.
Provide Leadership for the Regional Sales Team
- Build trusted relationships within the Regional Sales Team that drive results to maximize selling effectiveness through a mentoring strategy, training processes, and sales tools and methodology.
- Lead, monitor, and hold the Regional Sales Team accountable for the success of their territory’s sales and their Sales Teams’ efforts and results.
- Communicate regularly to provide feedback and keep the Sales Teams engaged.
Customer Service
- Drive the utilization of the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system to track activity, keep commitments and maintain customer contact.
- Accompany the Regional Sales and Strategic Accounts Managers on virtual or on-site sales calls/customer visits.
Teamwork and Collaboration
- Partner with Marketing, Finance and Purchasing teams to establish and implement successful customer programs that increase profitability and/or product availability.
- Consult regularly with different Sales Team members to gather input and understand sales trends and customers’ needs.
- Oversee a training and development plan for each level of the Sales Team.
Additional Duties as Assigned
- Accurate and timely submission of reports

Qualifications and Competencies

- Excellent communication skills and ability to build relationships and coach Sales Teams for effectiveness
- Strong Microsoft Office Suite skills, particularly Excel
- Possess self-motivation, strong work ethic, and proven time management skills
- Analytical, entrepreneurial mindset for growth
- Must pass a pre-employment background check and urine drug screen.
Education and Experience
- 10+ years of proven sales experience, generating leads and closing sales
- 5+ years of experience leading and mentoring a sales team
- 5+ years of experience in an analytical, strategic planning capacity
- Bachelors’ degree in a relevant field, preferred
- Proficiency in CRM systems (e.g. Salesforce)
- Proficiency in Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems (e.g. Epicor, Oracle, SAP)
