Electric Meter Technician- Amarillo, TX- Travel to New Mexico Required na None

Pay rate range: $19.00/hr, DOE

Essential Functions:

We are looking to hire an electric meter technician to provide a variety of services surrounding Xcel Energy's electric meters in and around the City of Amarillo, TX

Essential Duties/Responsibilities:

• Driving (50 - 75 % a day) and navigating throughout the service area for the City of Amarillo, Texas
• Entering residential and commercial property to access the electric meters to perform required work
• Exchanging electric meters to the new AMI electric meter
• Working with energized electric equipment
• Providing customer service with responsibility and humility
• Working with pride and a high quality of workmanship
• traveling up to 50 % of the time though Amarillo, Plainview, Lubbock and Seminole Texas.

Experience:

•  Preferred 3 Phase Metering Experience
• Two (2+) plus years of customer service experience required
• Two (2+) plus years of working with electricity preferred
• An equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted on a year-to-year basis

Additional Requirement/Licenses/Certifications:

• Candidates must pass Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) check and pass a pre-employment drug screen

Education or Formal Training:

• HS Diploma or GED
