The demand for high quality health economic and outcomes research (HEOR) and real-world evidence (RWE) to support drug development, health technology assessment/access decisions, product differentiation, and clinical decision making continues to increase. The purpose of the Lilly Health Economics and Outcomes Research (HEOR) teams is to accelerate equitable patient access and transform healthcare delivery through the execution and communication of bold, high impact science.  We are looking for talented, energetic, creative, diverse, influential, and collaborative team members to join the Lilly Bengaluru HEOR team. The purpose of RWE Insights role is to work with cross-functional, multidisciplinary teams to develop strategic summaries on the value of our medicines for our key priority products and indications.

The RWE Insights role combines scientific knowledge and communication skills in order to organize and deliver relevant insights of RWE that are meaningful and relevant for Lilly and for our customers.

The RWE Insights role is a recognized technical expert for Insight generation from competitive intelligence and literature review in RWE.

Primary responsibilities:

Insight generation from RWE literature. Analyse and synthesize published evidence (80%):  

  • Conduct periodic competitive intelligence of key scientific conferences and perform periodic literature searches under supervision
  • Develop scientifically based, consistent and accurate RWE summaries with supervision (narrative summaries, visual presentations, etc.).
  • Understands and implements strategic implications of study, design and results in developing holistic insights/ storytelling with supervision
  • Store final deliverables in an appropriate storage system. Update the information and communicate the findings on a regular basis.

Align with cross-functional teams on value evidence needs. Therapeutic area understanding (15%):

  • Work within teams to understand the key priorities that our customers have for RWE evidence, for our key priority products and indications and how this evidence supports the key product messages.
  • Develop a plan to provide timely updates to the teams on the value of our medicines in clinical practice for the selected needs and priority products and indications. 
  • Maintain and enhance clinical and therapeutic knowledge, including disease state, product, and competitor data.

Customer focus (5%):

  • Network with others to identify process or strategic improvements, share best practices and suggest opportunities where appropriate.
  • Demonstrate flexibility and availability in the event of scheduling adjustment or unexpected events.

Minimum qualification requirements:

  • Master’s degree/Ph.D. with at least 5-7 years of experience and/or knowledge in life sciences domain, scientific, or health-related field (Pharma/Biotech) 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and high attention to detail
  • Epidemiology, clinical pharmacology, therapeutic area, or other medical and scientific specific knowledge and experience (e.g., immunology, diabetes, or oncology expertise).
  • Knowledge, experience and understanding of healthcare data used in real world evidence
  • Experience in medical, scientific or technical writing fields (at least 2-3 years)
  • Strong comprehension and communication skills including the ability to translate and write complex scientific information in a clear and concise manner
  • Cognitive abilities including verbal reasoning, attention to detail, critical thinking, and analytical ability.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence and collaborate within and across teams
  • Demonstrated project management and time management skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to be flexible in varying environments and with multiple customer groups.
  • Demonstrated high-level end-user computer skills (e.g., word processing, tables and graphics, spreadsheets, presentation, and templates)

Additional preferences:

  • Experience with critical appraisal of observational study designs
  • Publication experience
  • Ability to work well independently and as part of a team across cultures and time zones
