Overhaul Mechanic Apprentice na CCI Industrial Services, LLC

General Description:

The Mechanic (Seasonal/Temporary – As Needed) is responsible for performing preventative maintenance and incidental mechanical repairs on various company and customer equipment and vehicles. Mechanics may be required to design, modify, and fabricate equipment to meet certain standards as requested. This position will also perform a variety of facility maintenance tasks including carpentry, painting, electrical repairs, janitorial duties, tire work and other responsibilities as directed.

Note: This is a Seasonal/Temporary position, filled on an as-needed basis.

• Assist in the disassembly, cleaning, and inspection of mechanical components.
• Learn to diagnose issues and perform necessary repairs under supervision.
• Assist in reassembling overhauled components following blueprints, manuals, and guidelines.
• Operate hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment safely and effectively.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
• Assist in conducting all routine and non-routine preventative maintenance (PM’s) on CCI/Kakivik and Customer’s equipment according to designated PM schedule, execute modifications and repairs as assigned.
• Be a Safety Leader! Ensure the resources and commitment to HSE is of top priority for all employees within the company.
• Maintain 100% “Safety Standards and Accountability” in all areas or mandatory/regulatory requirements, which include:
  • Maintain compliance with the required HSE Training.
  • Taking necessary action when behaviors or conditions around you may be unsafe.
  • Reporting and addressing all potential safety concerns/incidents/issues promptly and willingly participate and assist in any investigation that may relate to a safety incident.
  • Performs work in strict compliance with permitting requirements,  and other compliance-oriented directives.
  • Participating in safety meetings, working safely, and maintaining a safe work environment as an employee and representative of CCI Industrial Services.
  • Document and record any injury or near miss incident that may occur while you are working.
  • Demonstrate and promote safe work practices by participating in JSA reviews, pre-job walkdowns and safety START card preparations covering work activities and materials required by the company and the client.
  • Promote and participate in Safety Programs.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Basic understanding of mechanical systems, including engines, transmissions, and hydraulics.
• Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment.
• Ability to work with mechanical components, tools, and equipment.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team and take direction from senior mechanics.
• Ability to follow detailed instructions, safety guidelines, and procedural checklists.
• Ability to identify mechanical issues and assist in repairs.
