Description
The Marketing Manager position is responsible for managing and executing the firm’s marketing initiatives. This position will also support internal employees and external consultants with firm branding consistency, analyze analytics and provide recommendations to firm management within marketing and social media.
Requirements
Essential Functions and Responsibilities
- Manages the creation and publishing of firm's social media and marketing content and thought leadership
- Assists employees with preparing, formatting, and finalizing their presentations, materials, and other documents for speaking engagements and blogs, keeping firm branding consistent
- Builds marketing programs to support specific marketing objectives throughout the firm
- Lead the execution of marketing programs from start to finish, driving collaboration with key stakeholders and leveraging internal processes
- Monitors website analytics and advises on SEO and digital content to increase readership and interactions
- Creates and maintains the firm’s marketing calendar to help ensure deadlines are met for event sponsorships, speaking proposal submissions, nominations, and advertisements
- Supports firm leadership as required to drive and achieve goals set forth in the firm’s marketing plan
- Responsible for marketing all firm external events, including communication, social media, photography coordination, and follow-up
- Assists with the creation and execution of business development plans for individuals and the firm overall
- Develops and executes marketing initiatives to appeal to the target audience using appropriate channels such as email, social media, and traditional media
- Gathers and analyzes information on client needs and preferences, as well as demographics and buying habits, with the goal of identifying potential markets for new clients
- Develops reports and presentations on findings, creates graphics to illustrate important information, and translates complex findings and materials into easy-to-understand text
- Brainstorm with firm consultants and management to develop creative ideas for promotional events and campaigns, and liaise with third-party vendors to execute successful events
- Measures the effectiveness of marketing and promotional campaigns, including advertising and communications strategies
- Forecasts and tracks trends in marketing and social media, monitors industry statistics, and follows trends in the industry
- Manages the firm’s email lists; formats and coordinates external email alerts
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Public Relations, or another related field
- 4-6 years’ experience in Marketing, preferably in a professional services environment
- Experience supervising a team and collaborating with several departments
- Excellent knowledge of social media platforms and understanding of social media KPIs, experience and familiarity with Google analytics
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Photoshop and InDesign, Outlook, webinar and conferencing software
- Experience with Constant Contact email platform
- Experience with graphic design preferred
- Strong interpersonal skills, ability to work with clients, the public and individuals at all levels of the organization in a positive, collaborative manner
- Exceptional organization skills, strong self-motivator with high attention to detail
- Excellent time and deadline management skills in fast-paced environment, able to juggle multiple projects and reprioritize quickly and efficiently
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, including familiarity with common legal terminology
- Must be able to uphold the highest standards of discretion and confidentiality and exercise good judgment in day-to-day decisions
- Cannabis or Hemp industry experience preferred
