The Role:
As the night auditor, you will audit, balance, post, and report on the front desk, rooms, and all food and beverage outlets’ cash and credit operations and reset all registers to ensure accurate, timely function and optimal operations management. Hotel Daphne is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Night Auditor to join our team. If you thrive in a quiet, overnight setting and have a keen eye for accuracy, this role is perfect for you!
Key Responsibilities:
Processing credit card transactions and other (restaurant, events, lounge) for the day
Handling phone system, transferring calls, reservations, etc.
Verify, balance and review hotel room availability
Perform Check-in and Check-out procedures
Administer guest payment policies and look for errors from the day shifts
Prepare folios for the morning departing guests
Maintain overall lobby appearance and assist with AM breakfast set up if needed
Be versed in all hotel emergency procedures
Based upon fluctuating demands of the operation and to exceed customer expectations, it may be necessary to perform a multitude of different functions not specifically related to this position. This person may be expected to perform other tasks and duties as needed or as directed. Furthermore, employee responsibilities and job descriptions are subject to review and revision.
Qualifications:
Experience Required:
High School diploma or equivalent required
Must be able to speak, read, write and understand the primary language(s) of the workplace
Ability to understand other computer programs (i.e. Property Management System)
Availability to work flexible shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Must be 18+ years of age
Strong communication and listening skills and excellent speaking, reading, and writing ability
Handle cash, coins, and currency at night
Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
Detail-oriented and strong organizational skills
Experience Preferred:
College Degree preferred
Prior 1-2+ years' night auditing in a luxury hotel environment preferred
