We’re seeking a skilled Shift Relief - Quality Laboratory Technician to provide support and coverage to our QA/QC operation at Kemerton, as well as perform routine work on days at our Australind site.
This full-time, permanent role is offered on a Monday–Friday, 8-hour day, 40 hour week contract, but includes a frequent requirement to also rotate onto the published 12-hour day/night, even time, shift pattern at Kemerton to cover periods of planned leave for 4 people. In recognition of your ongoing flexibility and commitment, 80% of the full-time shift allowance will be provided.
About the Role
As a Quality Laboratory Technician, you will report to the Quality Lab Lead and provide technical support to Operations in a QA/QC function. This will be achieved through process and product sample testing, to ensure required quality standards are maintained in the business. Duties will include:
Lab Techniques & Instrumentation: Skilled in sample preparation, instrumental testing, and equipment maintenance within QA/QC environments.
Quality Assurance: Experienced in applying quality control principles and ensuring regulatory compliance in manufacturing.
Data & Systems: Proficient in data collection, analysis, and reporting using laboratory systems.
Problem-Solving: Strong troubleshooting skills for resolving product, process, and equipment issues.
Safety & Compliance: Knowledgeable in lab safety protocols and health regulations.
Time Management & Adaptability: Efficient in task prioritization and responsive to process and technology changes.
Communication & Collaboration: Clear communicator with ability to work effectively within quality teams and across departments.
Attention to Detail: Committed to accuracy in testing, documentation, and results interpretation.
To be successful in your application, you will ideally possess:
Certificate III in Laboratory Techniques (or higher)
Industrial lab experience preferred
Able to work independently and rotate from day to shift work as required
Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills
Positive attitude and team spirit
