Location: Waco, TX
Position: Quality Technician II
Pay: $23.56/hour
Shift: Rotating shifts; 7am – 3pm; 3pm – 11pm; 11pm – 7am; rotate every four weeks.
While reporting to the Quality Manager, you will be responsible for problem solving to ensure the quality expectations of every customer, both internal and external. Measuring critical product/process variables, records or reports using appropriate tools and utilizing information to continuously improve. If you are unable to maintain processes within established limits or specifications, you would have full authority to sop the operation and seek assistance.
What you’ll be doing:
Conducting required off-line testing for products.
Ensuring all customer feedbacks are completed on-time, root cause is identified and implemented.
Assisting in analyzing all customer feedbacks for trends and continuous improvement.
Involved in corrective action and preventive action process.
Process capability studies as deemed necessary.
Maintaining process for document control.
Documenting COA’s, COC’s as required.
Defining quality concepts and quality processes, including statistical basics, etc.; applies quality tools; interprets information and data; applies team concepts.
Inspection and testing techniques, including various types of sampling plans.
Understanding and applying various quality audit types and their components, tools, and techniques.
We’d love to hear from you if:
At least one year experience in quality in a manufacturing environment.
Previous experience with Calibration of test equipment, operation of test equipment, and root cause/corrective action skills
You must have a “get it done” attitude and an urgency to resolve problems/tasks.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Working independently and managing multiple tasks simultaneously
You need to have a working knowledge of our products and their quality requirements.
Being reliable, having good initiative, being committed, and being quality focused is a must.
Lift up to 25 lbs. as needed.
Read and understand manufacturing instructions.
Perform repetitious duties, including stairs and standing for long periods of time.
Ability to work quickly while maintaining a high level of craftsmanship and attention to detail.
