The Industry Associations & Government Affairs Director will support the company’s regulatory and government affairs strategy across its portfolio. This role involves gathering intelligence on regulatory and legislative developments, engaging with industry associations, and monitoring government regulatory proceedings. The ideal candidate will have strong research skills and the ability to synthesize and present complex information in easily understandable way. Experience in regulatory affairs, policy analysis, or government relations is required.
Key Responsibilities:
Regulatory Intelligence & Analysis: Monitor, analyze, and report on relevant regulatory, legislative, and policy developments that may impact the company’s operations.
Industry Engagement: Represent the company in industry associations, working groups, and regulatory forums to stay informed on emerging trends and advocacy efforts.
Compliance Support: Collaborate with internal stakeholders to provide guidance on regulatory requirements and assist in compliance initiatives.
Government Affairs: Support the development of policy positions and advocacy strategies by gathering data, preparing materials, and coordinating with external stakeholders.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with legal, compliance, and business teams to ensure alignment between regulatory developments and business priorities.
Reporting & Communication: Prepare summaries, briefings, and presentations for leadership on key regulatory and government affairs topics.
Qualifications & Skills:
Bachelor’s degree in public policy, political science, law, business, or a related field.
8+ years of experience in regulatory affairs, government relations, public policy, or a related field, along with considerable experience engaging with industry associations, regulatory agencies, and/or policymakers.
Strong research and analytical skills with the ability to interpret and communicate regulatory developments.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and collaborate across teams.
Location:
Candidate must be based in Washington, DC area, and able to work on-site as required
The base pay range for this position varies based on the geographic location. More information about the pay range specific to candidate location and other factors will be shared during the recruitment process. Individual pay is determined based on location of residence and multiple factors, including job-related knowledge, skills and experience.
