Junior Audio-Visual Installation Engineer
Position: Permanent/Full Time

About the role
The Junior Audio Visual (AV) Installation Engineer is responsible for assisting with the installation, configuration, and commissioning of professional AV systems. This role involves hands-on work with video conferencing, Television systems, digital signage, sound systems, and control systems. The ideal candidate will be an enthusiastic and detail-oriented individual eager to learn and grow within the AV industry, ensuring all installations are completed efficiently and to high-quality standards.
Main Responsibilities
AV System Installation & Maintenance:
- Assist senior engineers with the physical installation of AV equipment, including displays, projectors, cameras, speakers, and microphones.
- Perform tasks such as pulling and terminating a variety of AV cables (e.g., HDMI, SDI, Ethernet, speaker wire).
- Mount and secure equipment in accordance with project plans and safety standards.
- Conduct basic testing and troubleshooting of installed systems to ensure proper functionality.
- Assist with system documentation, including wiring diagrams and equipment lists.
Project Support & Collaboration:
- Work collaboratively with project managers, clients, and other team members to ensure project timelines are met.
- Prepare equipment and materials for upcoming installations.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment on-site.
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations during installations.
Person Specification
- A foundational understanding of audio, video, and control systems.
- Familiarity with common AV hardware brands and equipment types.
- Basic knowledge of signal flow and cabling standards.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and comfort using hand and power tools.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and a strong attention to detail.
- Ability to follow instructions and work effectively as part of a team.
- Willingness to learn new technologies and acquire industry certifications.
