032301 2nd Shift Baler Operator/Material Handler (Open)Job Description:
Responsibilities:
- Process paper waste from production lines and scrap returns from customers.
- Uses a forklift to pick up tear-off boxes from production lines.
- Promotes clean area by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
- Records weight of in-house scrap.
- Records weight of bales.
- Loads bale trailer with maximum number of bales without exceeding max weight.
- Unloads palletized and loose scrap returned from customers.
- Completes a MINIMUM of 8 bales per 8 hour shift (unassisted).
- Performs other duties as assigned.
**Union Facility**
Must be able to demonstrate:
1. Knowledge of and compliance to applicable safety, quality, maintenance and housekeeping requirements.
2. Knowledge of and compliance to applicable quality requirements including the identification of "waste".
3. Ability to safely operate equipment.
4. Ability to maintain clean and organized work area.
5. Knowledge of and compliance to applicable recordkeeping requirements.
6. Knowledge and awareness of relevance and importance of activities contributing to the Quality Policy, Quality Objectives, and Quality System requirements.
Compensation Range:
The pay for this position is $21.58 per hour. The position may also be eligible for a short-term incentive.Benefits Statement:
