SUMMARY: The Housing and Business Services Coordinator supports Corban University’s mission by providing operational leadership for campus housing and administrative support to the Vice President for Business. This dual-role position ensures effective housing assignments, occupancy tracking, and resident communications, while also managing scheduling, periodic reports, and special administrative projects for the CBO. The role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to balance student-facing housing responsibilities with executive-level business services support.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Housing Coordination
- Administer all aspects of the campus housing process, including applications, assignments, billing coordination, move-in/move-out, and occupancy reporting.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for students, parents, and campus partners on housing matters.
- Maintain accurate records in the housing management system and prepare regular occupancy and retention reports for the CBO and Student Success leadership.
- Collaborate with the Dean of Students, Student Life, and other members of the Student Success team to align housing with community life, student/spiritual formation, and retention strategies.
- Coordinate marketing and communication efforts for new and returning student housing assignments.
- Ensure timely and accurate submission of housing rosters to internal stakeholders and external vendors.
- Business Services Support
- Manage the CBO’s calendar, including meeting coordination and travel arrangements.
- Prepare and edit correspondence, reports, presentations, and other documents.
- Compile data and draft periodic reports for cabinet, board, and accreditation purposes.
- Provide logistical and administrative support for cross-divisional initiatives under the CBO’s oversight.
- Monitor and track action items, ensuring deadlines are met and stakeholders are informed.
- Coordinate with other administrative staff to maintain smooth workflow across the division.
- Administration & Collaboration
- Maintain strict confidentiality in all housing and executive administrative matters.
- Ensure alignment of housing operations and business services support with Corban’s mission, values, and policies.
- Serve as a collaborative member of the Business Office, contributing to special projects and university-wide initiatives.
- Other Duties as Assigned
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
- Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; ability to learn housing management software and other database systems.
- Proven ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
- Customer service orientation with strong problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Commitment to Corban University’s mission and values, modeling professionalism and service in a Christ-centered environment.
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s degree preferred; associate degree or equivalent work experience required.
- At least 2 years of administrative experience, with preference for higher education or housing operations.
- Experience with database systems and report generation.
- Ability to collaborate across departments and with external stakeholders.
- Evangelical Christian faith and lifestyle consistent with Corban University’s mission and values as described in the Statement of Faith.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
- Full-time, on-campus position with some evening/weekend hours during peak housing periods (move-in/move-out).
- Frequent interaction with students, families, faculty, staff, and vendors.
- Occasional local travel is required along with ability to lift up to 25 pounds.
