We are seeking a driven and detail-oriented Business Development Support Manager to join our growing team. This role will be responsible for supporting business development efforts in identifying new market activities, developing sales strategies, and building client relationships. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of business development processes, excellent organizational skills, and a proactive approach to driving business growth.
Responsibilities:
- Support business development efforts to identify and pursue new market opportunities.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective clients by responding to inquiries and understanding their needs.
- Coordinate preparation and submission of proposals, RFPs, RFIs, contracts, and other client-facing documents.
- Assist in developing and implementing effective sales strategies, pitches, and presentations to generate leads and close deals.
- Oversee and update CRM systems, pipeline tracking, reporting, and analytics to manage business development efforts.
- Drive and manage business development marketing efforts.
- Coordinate and project manage special events for current and prospective clients.
- Coordinate prospect meetings and conduct prospect research to support successful new client introductions.
- Ensure seamless communication between internal teams and external clients.
- Assist in onboarding new clients.
- Develop, maintain, and improve internal documentation, workflows, and templates to streamline the business development process.
What you'll need to be successful:
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, marketing, or related field.
- 4+ years’ experience in business development support, sales operations, or a similar client facing role; conceptual understanding of Private Equity.
- Exceptional relationship management, project management, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong understanding of sales processes, CRM systems, and proposal development.
- Highly organized, with the ability to manage multiple and changing priorities in a fast-paced, accountability-driven environment.
- Ability to work independently with little direction, think strategically, identify opportunities, and develop solutions.
- Familiarity with proposal writing tools or platforms.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
- Flexibility to work outside an 8am-5pm weekday as needed.
- Ability to travel occasionally strongly preferred.
