We are now two years into our successful launch of the Junior Field Engineering Program. We are excited to announce that we are adding to our current team! We are seeking a Junior Field Engineer to join our Rivers & Lakes region. This is an opportunity for new or recent college graduatesready to jump-start their professional careers in Marine Construction.
Overview
The Junior Field Engineer position is tailored for recent graduates with less than six months of job experience. This is an on-the-job training opportunity with career advancement in 12 months and 24 months. This position is for those who have earned a degree and are seeking a career opportunity in marine construction. This position will prepare you for the Construction Quality Management (CQM) certification with the US Army Corps of Engineers.
What to Expect
- The water is your office view.
- This is a marine/waterway-based position, and the client requires the engineers to be on-site (dredge-based) throughout the shift.
- 20 paid weeks off a year.
- The schedule is 17/11, meaning 17 days on and then 11 days off. During your routinely scheduled 11 days off you will receive your predetermined compensation. We are transparent; once we provide an offer of employment, your compensation will be explained in detail in the pre-offer letter.

- Bachelor of Science in Engineering or a related field, graduation date of 2023 or upcoming graduate in May 2024.
- Ability to travel
- Ability to operate survey boat
- Collecting and processing hydrographic surveys
- Daily production reports
- Dredge Quality Management
- Able to safely work on the water in small boats and vessels
- OSHA Certified preferred
- Valid Driver's License with clean driving record
- Ability to meet the physical requirements of the position as outlined in the Functional Job Description
- Intermediate-level knowledge of the MS Office Suite (Microsoft Excel, Projects, and Word, Outlook)
- Strong oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills to work effectively with internal and external teams
- Must be able to successfully pass all pre-employment screening (drug test, fit test) in addition to random drug and alcohol testing
- Must be authorized to work in the US. This position is not eligible for a work visa sponsorship.
