Girl Scouts of Eastern Pennsylvania (GSEP), a top ten Girl Scout Council in the country, is looking for Girl Experience Specialist/Camp Director to join the Mission Delivery team. We currently have an opening serving the Lehigh County / Camp Mountain House.

The Girl Experience (GE) Specialist/Camp Director successfully manages the delivery of the Girl Scout Leadership Experience (GSLE) to girls within a specific regional community within Girl Scouts of Eastern PA ‘s (GSEP’s) footprint, through GSEP council events and year-round programming at a GSEP camp. This position also directs summer camp. 


The GE Specialist/Camp Director works collaboratively with other members of Girl Experience team to provide a full menu of programming aligned to key identifiers, including community programming, camp programming, age level programming, outreach programming, travel and awards, and other specialty programming based on community need. This role requires recruiting, hiring and participating in cross-departmental collaborations to achieve council-wide goals and initiatives. Key partnerships include Property, Retail, Fund Development, Marcomm, Strategy and Evaluation, Community Engagement and Volunteer Experience teams. 


The GE Specialist/Camp Director manages seasonal staff at a GSEP Camp and leads all Camp programs in compliance with all GSEP, GSUSA, ADA, ACA, Pennsylvania Labor Laws, health department and OSHA standards and requirements. 



Essential Qualifications:


  • 5 years or more of experience in youth development, education, or related field.
  • Experience in managing staff and/or volunteers.
  • Valid driver’s license, car, and proof of current insurance.
  • Computer skills – Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and experience working with databases. Use of Salesforce and Looker a plus.
  • Ability to understand and monitor budgets and perform metrics. 
  • Ability to lift and carry a minimum of 25 pounds.
  • Education – Bachelor’s Degree preferred, can be substituted for professional experience. 


Knowledge, Skills & Experience:

  • Demonstrated ability in planning, management, and project management.  
  • Experience and interest in serving youth of all backgrounds through youth-development programming.
  • Experience planning and coordinating program activities for large numbers of diverse participants.
  • Multi-level data management and reporting. 
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously, meet deadlines, and manage time efficiently.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills including the ability to articulate the mission and goals of GSEP to the membership and to the community.
  • Excellent writing and verbal communication skills 
  • Strong customer service skills and the ability to take ownership and responsibility for all performance related goals.


Other:

  • Hours of Work: office and meeting participation as required during regular office hours (M-F; hybrid schedule), evening and weekend hours expected

  • Weekends and evenings required for key program delivery. 

  • This is a full-time position (35 hours/week)
  • Travel required within specific Region and throughout GSEP’s 9-counties 
  • Maintain Membership as a registered Girl Scout
