Visitor Center – Retail Sales Associate (Part-Time)

What you will do:

Tillamook Creamery Retail Sales Associates provide fast, friendly service to all guests in The Tillamook Creamery retail area, sample counter, or retail warehouse areas. They will be assigned to work as a Cashier, Grocery Stocker or Retail Stocker.  They may rotate through different positions as needed.

Here’s a day in the life:

• Perform cashiering operations and functions.

• Accurately manage a cash drawer which is assigned daily.

• Count back change and work with the security of funds in mind.

• Assist and perform opening and closing procedures of the cash drawer.

• Stock and fill shelves with merchandise. This includes but is not limited to beverages, confections, cheese, souvenirs, glassware, and gift items as needed.

• Fold and prepare apparel to go on the sales floor.

• Weigh and price items to be put on the sales floor.

• Assist in checking dates and rotating stock by sell dates.

• Be able to communicate effectively and bring up when items in the storeroom are low.

• Straighten and clean all merchandise displays and counter areas.

• Retrieve merchandise and/or boxes from various stockrooms when requested.

• Assist in unloading warehouse orders by removing boxes filled with merchandise from pallets and properly storing on assigned shelves.

• Work the cheese sampling counter. Perform cheese cutting, maintain a clean area, stock supplies, and interact with customers.

• Train to learn the cheese sampling process which includes knowledge of sample cheese, the cheese cutting dates and what cheese is to be sampled.

• Perform fudge cutting tasks which include cutting fudge, boxing fudge and putting all appropriate labels on fudge containers.

• Provide accurate, efficient and friendly customer service by assisting customers with questions, special requests, item selections and other general help.

• Other duties as needed and assigned.
