Essential Duties and Responsibilities
In this role you will be:
- Coaching, orienting, and supporting frontline staff to ensure the highest quality of care.
• Serving as a key decision-maker and resource for staff in daily operations.
• Conducting rounds with patients, families, and staff to ensure needs are met and concerns are addressed.
• Facilitating and coaching problem solving among staff.
• Supporting practice changes that align with strategic goals such as improved HCAHPS results, throughput, falls reduction, infection prevention, and clinical documentation improvements, in collaboration with the Unit Manager.
• Assisting the manager with investigation and follow-up of patient complaints.
• Monitoring compliance with established standards of practice, protocols, and regulatory requirements, and coaching staff as needed.
• Leading staff development, orientation, and performance feedback.
• Assisting with the development and review of policies and procedures.
• Participating in hiring, onboarding, and staff engagement efforts to promote high satisfaction and retention.
• Utilizing strong interpersonal communication and leadership skills.
• Managing multiple projects simultaneously.
• Promoting positive public relations as a representative of the nursing department.
- EDUCATION: Bachelor’s degree in nursing or related field, or actively pursuing.
- EXPERIENCE:
- 3 or more years’ experience as professional nurse
- Adolescent Psych experience required
- LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION:
- Current license as a Registered Nurse in Pennsylvania.
- BLS certification required or obtained within 1 month of hire.
- Related professional certification preferred.
