Job Summary
We are seeking an energetic and forward-thinking accounting professional with high ethical standards who can relate to people at all levels of our organization. The ideal candidate will be results oriented with 1-3 years of core accounting experience and will thrive while operating in a dynamic, growth oriented, and entrepreneurial environment.
Essential Functions
- Preparing journal entries
- Reconciling and balancing general ledger accounts
- Reviewing general ledger accounts and preparing adjusting journal entries
- Performing account analysis and reconciliation, including bank statements and intercompany general ledger accounts
- Maintaining the general ledger chart of accounts
- Assisting with initial internal control evaluations
- Posting monthly, quarterly, and yearly accruals
- Assisting with audit fieldwork for both operational and financial audits
- Assist with other projects as needed
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Effective analytical skills to sort, check and verify accounting figures
- Ability to multi-task and work efficiently in a face-paced environment
- Careful attention to detail
- Good communication skills
- Familiarity with enterprise business systems
- Strong Microsoft Office application knowledge (especially Excel)
Supervisory Responsibilities
- This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
Work Environment and Physical Demands
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times
- In office environment
Travel
- This job requires no planned business travel.
Education and Experience
- 4-7 years of accounting, bookkeeping, finance, or administrative experience
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting
