💎 Who is the Senior Director of Client Services?

 

The Senior Director of Client Services is both a trusted partner to our clients and a motivating leader to our account team. Reporting into agency principals and group ownership, this working manager balances leadership with direct client engagement. You’ll handle a handful of high-value client relationships and play an active role in pitching and onboarding new business, while crucially energizing and developing a team of account leaders.


This is not a role for someone who only sets vision from afar. We’re looking for a leader who thrives on rolling up their sleeves - coaching their team in real time, setting clear expectations, creating efficient processes, and ensuring every account is positioned to deliver exceptional results. You’ll join a collaborative, people-first group of strategists, media experts, and creatives who are passionate about helping our clients “market less and matter more.”

 

Broad responsibilities include:

  • Actively lead, coach, and mentor the Client Services team, setting clear expectations, ensuring accountability, and building confidence.
  • Directly manage a select group of high-value client accounts, ensuring strong business stewardship, relationship growth, and delivery excellence.
  • Own responsibility for the maintenance and growth of Leap’s business and client base through NBD and OBD efforts.
  • Oversee client onboarding to ensure engagements are set up for success from the start.
  • Actively participate in and lead new business pitches and proposals when required, in conjunction with business development teams.
  • Develop and refine client service processes, reporting, and tools to drive efficiency, financial stewardship, and client impact.
  • Partner with agency leadership to align client strategies with organizational vision and growth objectives.
  • Facilitate collaboration between account, PM, and cross-discipline teams, ensuring seamless client experiences.
  • Resolve escalated client issues with sound judgment, transparency, and a solutions-oriented approach.
  • Stay current on client industries and market trends to guide both strategy and execution.

 



📚 What do You Need?


  • 10+ years of client services/account management experience with an advertising or marketing agency.
  • 4+ years in a leadership role managing and developing client service/account teams.
  • Demonstrated success leading new business pitches, proposals, and onboarding.
  • Experience managing and growing national, name-brand clients.
  • Strong financial and operational acumen; able to track account health and identify/close gaps.
  • Proven ability to mentor, motivate, and hold teams accountable.
  • Exceptional communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Comfortability participating in leadership conversations - contributing a strong voice, challenging assumptions, and offering solutions.
  • A love for marketing and a contagious enthusiasm that inspires teammates and clients alike.
