Position Summary

The Merchandise Manager leads all aspects of merchandising operations across the location. This role is responsible for driving strategy, execution, and innovation in product management, redemption operations, and guest experience. The Merchandise Manager will develop and lead their team, oversee budgets, and ensure merchandising standards deliver both business results and guest satisfaction.


Key Responsibilities


Leadership & Supervision

· Provide direct supervision, coaching, and development for merchandise staff, ensuring alignment with company goals and standards.

· Build a strong succession pipeline by recruiting, training, and mentoring associates.

· Collaborate with other department leaders to strengthen communication, service quality, and overall company performance.

· Foster a positive and professional work environment that reflects company values.


Operations Management

· Lead the planning, procurement, and execution of merchandise and redemption strategies that align with business goals.

· Ensure redemption counters, merchandisers, and displays are visually appealing, clean, and compliant with company standards.

· Oversee weekly merchandise orders, track order status, resolve vendor issues, and manage budgets effectively.

· Analyze reports (earnings, throw percentages, inventory turnover) and adjust strategies to maximize profitability.

· Maintain accurate Sacoa inventory and ensure merchandise is properly priced, prepared, and stocked.

· Introduce products that reflect seasonal demand, market trends, and location demographics.

· Partner with leadership on décor projects and special events to enhance the guest experience

Requirements

  

· High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education in retail management, business, or hospitality a plus.

· Proven experience in merchandising management, retail operations, or related leadership role.

· Strong skills in team leadership, training, and performance management.

· Ability to manage budgets, analyze data, and make informed business decisions.

· Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

· Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.

· Creative eye for product display and a customer-focused mindset.

· Track record of success in fast-paced, multi-disciplinary environments.
