What You'll Do
- Keep the Garden’s facilities clean and well-stocked, making spaces shine for visitors and staff alike; dusting, vacuuming, mopping, and more.
- Take on special “deep clean” projects and look for creative ways to keep everything looking its best.
- Set up and break down tables and chairs for all kinds of events, from classes to celebrations. Your efforts make the magic happen behind the scenes.
- Jump in on seasonal tasks like leaf clearing, snow shoveling, and ensuring walkways are safe — enjoying the variety that comes with being outdoors in every season.
- Help out with minor maintenance, safety checks, and quickly report any issues to keep things running smoothly.
- Stay organized — you’ll keep cleaning supplies and tools ready to go, and work in high-traffic areas during busy events.
- Collaborate with colleagues, greet visitors, and work with vendors — always with a positive attitude and a willingness to help.

What to Expect
- Part-time hours — about 20 per week — with flexibility for busy Garden events, weekdays, evenings, or an occasional holiday.
- This role is active and physical: be ready to move, lift up to 20 pounds frequently (sometimes up to 50), stand for long periods, bend, squat, and climb ladders.
- Walk around the Garden’s beautiful paths — paved and unpaved, rain or shine.
- Safety is important: background clearances are required, including child abuse, PA state police, and FBI fingerprint checks.
- If you’re looking for a role where every day is different, creativity is valued, and your work brings joy to the community, this could be your perfect fit!
